  • Students investigate/create and use their own data
  • Opportunity for collaborative learning

In Term 3 every year, students complete a Maths Talent Quest (MTQ) project. This is a rich task that may cover various areas of the Mathematics curriculum. Upon completion, teachers select 2x Excellence winners and 1x Rising Maths Star winner per classroom. Winners receive their awards at assembly and have their projects displayed around the school.

Throughout the year students in Prep-Grade 2 and Grade 3-6 have the option of taking part in the Maths Masterclass. A problem solving task is set for the fortnight and interested students are able to have a go at solving the problem and placing their entry in the orange maths box at the office. Winners are given a certificate and small prize at assembly and have their Masterclass displayed at the office.
